SK Sound Recorder Tool

The new SK Sound Recorder Tool is an extremely handy to use, one-click voice recording tool that lets you record your sound through microphone and save it as a .wav file. Here's a simple tutorial about it.
  • Go to Tools menu and select SK Recorder from it.
  • As you can see, there are not much controls in this window since it does most of the work automatically for you. All you have to do is to select the device which you wish to use for recording(default device will be automatically selected if you don't select manually).

  • Now press Start recording button and the microphone will become active.

  • After you are done with recording, click Stop button. The Save as and Discard buttons will become active. Click Save as to save the newly recorded sound as a .wav file or click Discard in order to discard it from the memory.

Media Library

Your new SKMP (Portable) contains a supreme media library that has many significant features which make it unique and different from all other media players.

Let us go through a quick tutorial about the media library. I will tell you how to make a new collection of your own.

  • Open your new SKMP and click on Media Library at the bottom left.

  • The Media Library window will thus open. You can see a lot of controls in it. Here are some brief details regarding them.

  • Now, type a new collection title of your own choice (e.g., My collection) in the box on the top left and hit New collection or Search in case that you want to search the given collection in the media library.
  • Your collection title will be added to the collections in the media library. Scroll down to locate it. Once you locate it, right click on it and click Add tracks to this title.

  • Once you have added as many tracks to the collection as you want, right click on each track to inspect its properties menu.

  • Everytime you play a track using SKMP (Portable), it will automatically be added in the media library under the ~~ automatic tracks ~~ collection.
  • You can also add tracks directly from the history or from the current playlist into the media library. Right click on the target track, select Add to Media Library and a small window will appear. Select the collection title or specify a new collection title under which you want to store this track. Click Add to finish the job. Here is a small video tutorial that tells you how to do it.

  • If you enter a collection title that already exists in the media library and click on New Collection, the media library will search the existing collection and bring it to front instead of making a duplicate collection.

Long Lyrics feature of the new SKMP (Portable)

Long Lyrics is another amazing new feature that makes SKMP a unique media player. Mostly, the songs of genre Rap, hip hop, R & B, Metal, Hard Rock etc have quite long lyrics. By default, Windows does not allow lyrics beyond a certain length limit (1600 bytes approximately) to be written in the properties of the media file. However your new SKMP covers this with the new and improved SK Lyrics Viewer. All you have to do is copy the lyrics contents of any song in a text file and place the path to that text file in the "lyrics" space in the properties of that file. (This feature works only with MP3 file format right now.) This way, you can link lyrics to the mp3 file no matter how large they are!
