Media Library

Your new SKMP (Portable) contains a supreme media library that has many significant features which make it unique and different from all other media players.

Let us go through a quick tutorial about the media library. I will tell you how to make a new collection of your own.

  • Open your new SKMP and click on Media Library at the bottom left.

  • The Media Library window will thus open. You can see a lot of controls in it. Here are some brief details regarding them.

  • Now, type a new collection title of your own choice (e.g., My collection) in the box on the top left and hit New collection or Search in case that you want to search the given collection in the media library.
  • Your collection title will be added to the collections in the media library. Scroll down to locate it. Once you locate it, right click on it and click Add tracks to this title.

  • Once you have added as many tracks to the collection as you want, right click on each track to inspect its properties menu.

  • Everytime you play a track using SKMP (Portable), it will automatically be added in the media library under the ~~ automatic tracks ~~ collection.
  • You can also add tracks directly from the history or from the current playlist into the media library. Right click on the target track, select Add to Media Library and a small window will appear. Select the collection title or specify a new collection title under which you want to store this track. Click Add to finish the job. Here is a small video tutorial that tells you how to do it.

  • If you enter a collection title that already exists in the media library and click on New Collection, the media library will search the existing collection and bring it to front instead of making a duplicate collection.
